Many of the tips and tools we share through our posts we have been fortunate to have had passed down the generations to us ☺, and been able to build upon with experiences of our own 💪.

Surely the simple role of each generation in its turn is to ensure the next generation learns from its mistakes.

And so this marks measurable ‘generational progress’, in the interest of the family as well as society as a whole.

A rare but genuine ‘win-win scenario 💯.

Yet one of our greatest disappointments with modern day life is the lack of respect and appreciation shown by sections of society towards the older generation.

Nowhere is this more shocking than in some of the reported indirect discrimination they haves faced at the hands of major employers 👎, even with a retirement age ever increasing, inflation levels spiralling and benefits subsequently less valuable, leaving many feeling isolated and financially insecure even after a lifetime of dedicated work.

This is a genuinely global problem 🌍.

We should be embracing the increased life expectancy modern medicine brings with it to facilitate more younger people learning from more older people, more of the time!

But alas, the system is not fit for this purpose.

It is not ensuring sufficient structured access, and so for our parts we simply continue to fully embrace, listen to, support where possible and draw wisdom from the more elderly people we are blessed enough know whenever we can.

As this has been an irrefutable, proven way of society developing itself since caveman days.

This exposure unquestionably makes us better and more rounded people, and we would encourage readers of any age to follow suit.

Love tinged with slight regret,
