There are points in any person's life that can determine their long term future more than others.

These are known as "pivot points".

The challenge is that windows of opportunity and related options can open randomly at the most uncertain of times on a moment's notice and may necessitate rapid decision making in many cases before they close again.

Our post entitled "Learn to Expect (and Accept) the Unexpected to Stressbust™ More Effectively" demonstrates the value of being prepared for the unexpected benefits as well as burdens of life; and our post entitled "5 Key Steps to Stressbusting™ Decision Making" equips readers with the core skills and processes necessary to make successful and relevant choices.

The secret to capitalising on opportunities as they arise is not to let them creep up and take you by surprise; once you recognise that it is inevitable that they will come along in one form or another regardless of other surrounding circumstances - a matter of probability, not pure chance - you can start focusing less on the "when" of it all and prepare in advance for the exciting exercise of embracing them when they do come along.

While change can of course be unsettling, without it there is no growth or progress; so try not to be daunted by it.

If circumstances exist in your life which may prevent you from seizing opportunities when they come along - a job offer elsewhere, a new relationship, an exciting new drug trial to treat a medical condition, or whatever it might be - then start taking steps now to manage or remove obstacles now, because this is a positive life exercise regardless of the subsequent timing of the opportunities!

And by doing so, when those life pivot points arrive, you will be less shocked and, instead, more able to react in a dynamic, focused, constructive and self proactive way 👍👌

Kindest regards as always
