Disagreements are a fact of life.

Often, they result in heat of the moment arguments, which can be stressful.

The best ways to manage the stress of an argument (and maximise the chances of the points you are making being accepted in the process!) are to do the following:-

☆  REMAIN CALM

☆ FOCUS ON THE POINTS YOU WANT TO MAKE AND MAKE THEM CLEARLY AND SLOWLY

☆ DO NOT REPEAT YOURSELF UNNECESSARILY

☆ DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE

☆ NEVER RESORT TO PERSONAL INSULTS AS THEY WILL SIMPLY ALIENATE YOU

And, critically:-

☆☆ RECOGNISE THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE HAD THE LAST WORD DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE WON THE ARGUMENT

If this were true, then there would never be a criminal conviction in a court where the Defence has the right to final closing arguments! 😆

So, tempting though it may be to make a cutting final remark then storm off artificially claiming the moral high ground, always bear in mind that there are 2 sides to every story, and the key to resolving disputes is compromise, not point scoring 👍
