Our earlier post entitled "Engage your Inner Child to Stressbust™" deals with the importance to our StressBusting™ strategy of not taking life too seriously and being able to laugh at ourselves.

This week saw that illustrated in real time.

We both prepared for a big business meeting on Teams (the Mircosoft online portal for meeting by video remotely).

Kick off was at 11am and we were keen to make a good impression with a prospective major business partner.

LouLoU™ had even donned one of her smartest outfits for the occasion, so eager were we to impress.

Working from home together but keen not to share a laptop screen that would make us look as if we were presenting Good Morning Britain, we elected to connect on different laptops, albeit we were facing each other at the kitchen table.

We were sure to be ready 10 minutes early.

As the big moment arrived, to our combined and palpable relief we both logged on to the remote 'waiting room' successfully.

Then on the hour we were admitted and the meeting began.

MikeyM™ had met the contact in question previously so in the interest of good manners, opened by introducing LouLoU™, and now traditional two way waves at the screen ensued.

The meeting then opened at a pace and continued for a good 40 minutes before being brought to a satisfactory close with the same virtual two way waves.

What we hadn't realised throughout (and what nobody mentioned) was that LouLoU™ at no point appeared on screen!

Instead of taking the matter to heart, however, we immediately made email contact with the prospective partner to explain the honest error and that LouLoU™ was indeed more than a voice.

The upshot was that everyone had a good chuckle at themselves, which was a wonderful unplanned ice breaker, and we are now preparing contracts for a signature meeting, at which LouLoU™ will at least be able to wear her same favourite outfit without judgement!

But the lesson for us here was (and always will be!), "don't wave in vain"!

BIG, FUNNY LOVE, MikeyM™& LouLoU™🙃😊💖💛💙 xxxxx
