There is an old saying that “you are only as good as the people you surround yourself by”.

We believe there is a degree of sense in this statement.

As such, it is important that a minimum number of individuals with whom you interact on a regular basis possess qualities that embody wellness and inspire you on your own Wellness Journey rather than hold you back.

No one person can represent the entirety of wellness as it is so multi faceted, so a good exercise is to ask the following questions:-

1. Who is the most positive person I know?

2. Who is the most healthy person I know?

3. Who is the most experienced person I know?

4. Who is the most funny person I know?

5. Who is the most playful person I know?

6. Who is the most caring person I know?

Try not to labour too long over a decision – your first instinct will in most cases be the answer you are looking for.

If the same individual is your response to more than one of the questions, then you can pick another for each response duplicated.

If, e.g., your partner or best friend qualifies for most or all the responses, then you have chosen well and should “Give yourself a Stressbusting™ Pat on the Back” (see our earlier post so entitled for more detail)!

Once you have completed this simple exercise, you have a shortlist of half a dozen ‘go to’ people you may wish to continue to have as many dealings with as possible from both a wellness and stressbusting™ point of view.

These 6 (who may of course change over time as you develop and your life situation changes) are likely to provide you with more support in your endeavours than the rest of the people you know put together at any one time.

In other words, when it comes to wellness support & Stressbusting™, quality beats quantity hands down.

And you may be surprised at some of your answers to the above, as it is a unique exercise rarely undertaken!

Hope that helps

Much love,
